Student Government officials chastised Lincoln University students for failing to act responsibly during Homecoming weekend.
"There were no off campus visitors last night, so there is no reason things were the way they were," said SGA President Courtney Tipper to the full gym of students prior to the start of Lincoln's Homecoming Comedy Show.
University officials threatened to cancel the comedy show after the gym, including the bathrooms, were left in disarray following Mondays Homecoming Pep Rally. Silly string, ripped poster paper and toilet paper were laid across the gym floor by the end of the Pep Rally.
Despite the setback, the comedy show began with Philadelphia comedian Toure who kept the crowd laughing between guest comedians.
Marshall Brandon graced the stage first with several jokes about being a college student, and then moved on to relationships. He even cracked a couple of jokes on some Lincoln students who felt the need to interrupt his act, referring to them as "clowns."
Nickki Carr wasn't as easy on disruptive Lincoln students when she got on stage. Carr got off stage and walk towards the rowdy group of males to clearly get a picture of the students she was about to use as an example. Carr continued with her performance unphased by the comments, continuing with jokes about herself, and encouraged the love and support for plus size females through humor.
Finally, headliner Comedian Lil Duval came on stage. The gym was filled with laughter at the jokes about Lincoln's location, relationships, and several comments on students in the stands and in the front row. Duval's act was cut short after a sexually explicit joke, ending with encouraging words for the students.
"Each one, teach one. Go home and use what you learn at school and teach others what you know," said Duval in an interview backstage.
