The Pan-Hellenic and Social Fellowship Council will host its annual Unity Week during the week of April 14th through the 18th. This will be a week filled with community service, games and cookouts for the whole campus provided by the Greek lettered organizations and social fellowships on campus.
The week kicks off on Wednesday April 14, 2009 with the members of the Pan-Hellenic (pan-hell) and social fellowships serving dinner in the cafe.
"Unity on LU's campus can't be described in one phrase, so we have these events to show what we all can do together," says Nicole Hinds, a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
After students enjoy their meals, the members will also collect their plates when they are done. On Thursday, there will be a Greek games competition in which the fraternities will challenge the sororities.
Pan-hell will kick off Saturday with a cookout. Lincoln students will be able to enjoy music, food and fun courtesy of each organization. The week will end with an awards banquet and ball. "I can't wait to get Unity Week started" says Jalil Faison of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. "I think it's a good way to end off the semester."
