"Ya turning me on ya turning me off"….the infectious lyrics and beats of new Interscope/ Mosley Music Group artist Keri Hilson can be heard on daily radio programming throughout the day and late night programming as well. Hilson's second single "turning me on" from her debut Album In a Perfect World reached the top 20 of the hot 100 and number two on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs.

The Decatur, GA native has proven to be a great songwriter as well as an innovative arranger and performer. Hilson has penned many records for artist in the mid 2000s and continues to receive accolades for records which were written and produced in her time with the super hit making and songwriting crew "the clutch".

In a Perfect World includes poppy tunes and R&B ballads that you just have to keep on replay. Hilson has penned feel good songs that not only R&B listeners appreciate but for those who just enjoy pop and rock music. Because Hilson has written for artists of different genres, she possesses a versatility that many artist don't.

HIlson, 26, has a seductive soprano voice which is flexible. The R&B singer even surprises on the track titled, "slow dance" with the Justin Timberlake production and vulnerable lyrics that seem opposite from the women anthem that her album's direction may seem to smoothly transition into.

Hilson recognizes her success is through her own merits as well as those of her production with heavy hitters such as Timbaland, Polow the Don and Danja. Hilson, says this moment in her life has been anticipated for her for "twelve years". It seems she is more than eager to keep her career on the move. Although Hilson has seen career setbacks and album delays, her album proves to be worth the wait. Hilson's highly anticipated album was released in late March of 2009.

Her album is filled with hard and soft songs which may be displeasing to some, but I'll let the listeners be the true judge. With the mix of relationships and women empowerment, I don't think she will disappoint.
