Hundreds of alumni converged on Lincoln University's campus last week for Homecoming, the annual Fall gathering aimed at celebrating the life of the university.

As tradition goes, it is also a time for alumni to connect with current Lincoln students. And of course, there were plenty of opportunities for students and alumni to party.

"For me, It was a time to get loose and have fun," says Saleena Young, a senior at Lincoln . "Homecoming is where freshmen establish their identity amongst their peers, and upper classmen take a well deserved mental break from the everyday stresses from school."

The week kicked off with a pep which showcased Lincoln's new marching. There were other events as well, from the comedy show to a standing-room only concert featuring rapper T-Pain and Jim Jones.

"T-pain was very entertaining and Jim Jones was good too, but T-pain had me dying laughing with his overall performance," said Rasheida Alston, a senior. "I can actually say that I would love for him to come back again for a second performance, or I would pay to go see him."

This year's Homecoming also played host to Lincoln University's first football game since 1960. The football game had a huge turnout consisting of alumni, parents, faculty, staff and students.

"It's good to be back on campus," said Carolyn Taylor, an alumnus who brought her 16-year-old daughter, Simone, to Homecoming. "I wanted to expose her to Lincoln in hopes that she will follow in my footsteps."
